MANUFACTURING QUALITY ASSURANCE (MQA)
PGL has been the industry leader in providing fast, accurate, and cost-effective MQA program for our customers.
MQA representatives are located in the city of all major manufacturers, thus eliminating costs for travel and lodging. PGL has audited manufacturing facilities and are familiar with their manufacturing processes and QC system. Additionally, our
Houston laboratory is located near GSE so in-plant sampling and testing of materials sampled at GSE, Houston are serviced at our local laboratory.
|
The Objective of MQA and In- Plant Sampling is to ensure that materials that are sampled or monitored at the manufacturing facility pass quality objectives Prior to shipping. This allows the material to be used immediately upon recipt after inspection for shipping damage. |
 |
PGL has an excellent data management system, which enables us to quickly record and report to the CQA Engineers or Owner’s representative while at the manufacturers’ facilities. Daily reports are faxed to the CQA Engineer at the end of the production day. Final summary reports including all roll certificates and pertinent documents, are faxed and mailed within 48 hrs. after the production of all the materials required for the job. Various report formats are available which may be customized to meet the requirements of the CQA Engineer or the Owners’ representative. Our representative at the manufacturers’ facility is equipped with portable phone and computer to facilitate access to and from the CQA Engineer and the main laboratory. |
|
|
Manufacturing QA/QC simplifies construction activities. This system has reduced unnecessary delays due to materials that are delivered to the site, which do not meet specifications. Non-compliant materials issues are resolved before a shipping truck ever leaves the manufacturer.
|
Four levels of In-Plant Sampling
Level 1 - IN-PLANT SAMPLING BY MANUFACTURER
PGL selects the sample rolls or specifies the sampling frequency and the manufacturer cuts the samples and sends them to PGL or PGL picks up the samples and takes care of the shipping. No charge when the Manufacturer cuts and sends the sample to PGL.
Level 2 - IN-PLANT SAMPLING BY PGL
PGL is present during the sampling and verifies the roll from which the sample was taken. PGL may select the rolls to be sampled randomly.
Level 3 - ONE TIME IN-PLANT SAMPLING
PGL goes to the manufacturer, observes the startup of production and reviews manufacturing QC Procedures. Manufacturer samples subsequent production.
Level 4- DAILY IN-PLANT SAMPLING
Level 2 plus PGL will monitor production daily and reviews QC data. |
